PITTSBURGH, PA — Pittsburgh police said an adult male wounded in a domestic-related shooting in Sheraden is now facing a charge in connection with the incident.
According to an update published June 29, 2026, police identified the man as Diante Sherrill, 42, of New Brighton. Police said Sherrill, who suffered the gunshot wound, is facing a charge of simple assault related to the incident.
In the original account, Pittsburgh Police from Zone 6 were dispatched at about 12:45 a.m. to the 2700 block of Bergman Street for a reported domestic altercation followed by a shooting.
Responding officers found an adult male with a single gunshot wound to his right thigh. Police said he was alert and speaking with officers and medics at the scene.
Pittsburgh EMS transported him to an area hospital in stable condition. Police also said an adult female was located at the scene and taken to Police Headquarters for questioning.
The Mobile Crime Unit processed the scene, including a recovered shell casing. Detectives with the Violent Crime Unit are investigating.
