PITTSBURGH, PA — Mayor Corey O’Connor announced 17 recipients of Pittsburgh’s 2026 “Love Your Block” grants, restoring the neighborhood improvement program after a one-year pause.
The Office of Community Affairs will administer reimbursement grants of $500, $1,000 and, for a limited number of projects, $1,500. The volunteer-led work is intended to address blight, improve public spaces, build community assets and bring neighbors together.
City officials selected the 17 projects from 44 applications submitted by organizations in more than 30 neighborhoods. Planned work includes community garden improvements, murals, landscaping, a memorial bench, parklet upgrades, a neighborhood blight-fighting toolbox and youth-led art.
The program also gives additional consideration to projects that activate City-owned vacant lots through Pittsburgh’s revamped Adopt-A-Lot program. Recipients are expected to complete their projects over the coming months, with funding reimbursed after completion.
