Missing 12-Year-Old Pittsburgh Girl Found Safe

PITTSBURGH, PA — Pittsburgh Public Safety officials say a 12-year-old girl reported missing this week has been safely located.

The city’s Special Victims Unit had asked for the public’s help finding Umaria Stevenson after she was last seen Tuesday afternoon in the 200 block of McKinley Street.

In an update published Wednesday, officials thanked everyone who shared information about the search. The city did not release additional details about where or when she was found.

The original notice said detectives considered the girl endangered because of her age and asked anyone with information to contact police or call 911. The city’s update closes that public appeal.
