PITTSBURGH, PA — Pittsburgh police arrested a 19-year-old man while serving a search warrant in Sheraden early Thursday, according to an official city public-safety release.
The city said Pittsburgh Police SWAT officers and Zone 6 detectives executed the warrant at a home on Pritchard Street during the early morning hours of Sept. 10. Police identified the arrested man as Jayon Pridgen.
According to the release, Pridgen was wanted on two outstanding warrants. Police said one concerned a domestic-related simple assault and the other stemmed from the armed robbery of a motor vehicle in Chartiers City on Nov. 4, 2025.
Authorities also charged Pridgen with possession of what police described as an illegal ghost gun found inside the home. He was transported to the Allegheny County Jail, the city said.
The charges are allegations. Pridgen is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court. The city release did not provide additional information about court dates or legal representation.
