PITTSBURGH, PA — Two men were wounded in an overnight shooting near Brighton Road and Woods Run Avenue, Pittsburgh public safety officials said.
Police said officers from Zone 1 were dispatched just before 11:30 p.m. after two ShotSpotter alerts detected a total of four rounds along the Brighton Heights and Marshall-Shadeland border.
A short time later, two adult men arrived at Allegheny General Hospital in separate private vehicles. One man had a gunshot wound to his leg and calf, while the other had grazing wounds to his head and hand. Both were listed in stable condition, according to police.
Officers located a crime scene near the alerts. Witnesses reported a possible altercation among a number of men before the shooting. The Mobile Crime Unit processed the scene and recovered shell casings.
Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating. Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
