October, 2026 — Christian Love, longtime member of The Beach Boys touring band and son of Beach Boys founding member and lead singer Mike Love, has released his new single, “Hold Me Again,” an emotional power ballad centered on love, compassion and the strength found in standing beside someone during difficult times.
The new release marks another chapter in Love’s career as a recording artist, songwriter, guitarist and live performer. “Hold Me Again” is currently being submitted for Grammy consideration, adding momentum to a solo catalog that continues to establish Love’s musical identity beyond his work with one of America’s most enduring bands.
The song originated with a piano composition written by Timmy Johnson of Capital Music Promotions, who sent the musical foundation to Love for further development. Love wrote the lyrics and helped transform the original composition into the completed recording, combining an intimate emotional message with a full-bodied rock arrangement. Johnson also serves as executive producer on the project.
Love handles lead vocals and guitar on “Hold Me Again,” joined by Nate Ruvin on bass, guitar and keyboards and Yoshi Ishida on drums. The single was recorded at StudioLyfe in North Hollywood, California. Its piano-driven foundation builds into a powerful arrangement designed to complement Love’s vocal delivery while retaining the vulnerability at the heart of the song.
At its core, “Hold Me Again” focuses on the importance of remaining present for another person when circumstances become difficult. The song explores reassurance, emotional connection and the need for human support, pairing those themes with melodic rock and pop elements. The result reflects Love’s continuing development as a solo performer whose work incorporates rock, pop and alternative influences while maintaining an approach distinct from the classic Beach Boys catalog.
Love has performed with The Beach Boys touring band since 2005, serving as a guitarist, harmony vocalist and lead vocalist. Nearly two decades of performing alongside the legendary group have given him extensive experience on major stages while allowing him to develop an individual creative direction through original recordings and performances.
The release of “Hold Me Again” will be followed by three October live appearances featuring Christian Love and his band. The first performance is scheduled for October 23, 2026, at Island Green in Westminster, Maryland. The band will then appear October 24 at Sign of the Horse Brewery in Hanover, Pennsylvania, before concluding the three-date run October 25 at Bourbon Mill in New Oxford, Pennsylvania.
The upcoming shows provide audiences an opportunity to experience Love’s solo material in a live setting as he continues expanding his work as an independent recording artist alongside his longstanding touring career.
