PITTSBURGH, PA — Pittsburgh Police, Fire, and EMS were dispatched at about 6:45 p.m. Sunday to the 500 block of Brookline Boulevard for a reported vehicle-versus-motorcycle collision, according to a City of Pittsburgh Public Safety Blotter release.
Responders found an adult male motorcycle driver in the roadway with significant injuries. He was transported in grave condition to an area hospital and was declared deceased shortly after arrival.
The city said the initial investigation indicates an SUV was attempting to make a left-hand turn out of a business driveway when the motorcycle struck the driver’s side of the vehicle. The adult male driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers.
Collision Investigation Unit detectives continue to investigate the crash. Police said no charges are expected at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
