PITTSBURGH, PA — Homicide detectives are investigating a deadly shooting in East Hills after Pittsburgh police were called to the 2200 block of Wilner Drive for a reported shooting.
According to the City of Pittsburgh Public Safety Blotter, Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Zone 5 officers responded at approximately 9:50 p.m. Preliminary information indicates an argument occurred outside before shots were fired.
Police said an adult male victim was struck in the abdomen. Officers rendered first aid after arriving, but the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene shortly after 10:00 p.m.
The Mobile Crime Unit responded and recovered six shell casings from the location. Police said the actor is believed to have fled the area on foot.
Homicide detectives are conducting an active, ongoing search for the suspect, and the investigation remains active and ongoing. The release listed Eliza Durham as the media contact.
