PITTSBURGH, PA — Pittsburgh police are investigating a double shooting inside a business on Frankstown Avenue that left one man dead and another critically injured.
Zone 5 officers were dispatched to the 7200 block of Frankstown Avenue at 12:23 p.m. on Aug. 19 after reports of the shooting, according to a City of Pittsburgh Public Safety release.
Emergency medical crews transported both male victims to a hospital in critical condition. One of the men was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The city did not identify either victim in its initial release.
Police said one person was detained for questioning at police headquarters. The release did not announce an arrest or provide additional information about that individual.
Detectives with the Pittsburgh Police Violent Crime Unit are investigating the case.
