PITTSBURGH, PA — Pittsburgh police are urgently asking for the public’s help locating an 81-year-old man who was reported missing from the city’s Manchester neighborhood.
The city’s Public Safety Blotter identified the missing man as Jerry Craig. Police said he left his home in the 1400 block of Nixon Street on foot at about 11 p.m. Thursday, August 27.
According to police, Craig does not have access to a cell phone, vehicle or public transportation. He is believed to have dementia and aphasia and is unable to speak.
Craig is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and about 150 pounds, with brown eyes. He is bald on top with white hair around his ears. Police said he was last seen wearing a beige shirt, blue pants with a stripe, socks, glasses and a wedding ring.
Anyone with information is asked to immediately call Pittsburgh police at 412-323-7141 or dial 911.
