PITTSBURGH, PA — Pittsburgh police are investigating an overnight shooting in the Middle Hill neighborhood that left a man wounded early Monday.
Zone 2 officers were sent to the 2000 block of Centre Avenue at about 2:15 a.m. after reports of gunfire, according to the city’s Public Safety blotter. Officers found an adult man in the lobby of an apartment building with gunshot wounds to his chest or torso and arm.
Police said officers immediately provided aid, including applying a chest seal and tourniquet. Pittsburgh EMS transported the man to an area hospital in stable condition.
Investigators said the victim had been involved in an argument inside an apartment on an upper floor before the shooting. The Mobile Crime Unit processed a scene in that unit for evidence.
Two people were taken to Pittsburgh Police Headquarters for questioning. Police said no arrests had been made as of the city’s release, and Violent Crime Unit detectives were continuing the investigation.
