PITTSBURGH, PA — The City of Pittsburgh Department of Mobility and Infrastructure announced its street milling and paving schedule for the week of October 19 as part of the city’s ongoing 2026 street resurfacing program.
According to municipal officials, scheduled milling operations will cover key roadway segments across several neighborhoods, including Forbes Avenue from Aylesboro Avenue to Northumberland Street, Edgerton Avenue from South Murtland Street to South Dallas Avenue, Willard Street from a dead end to South Dallas Avenue, Railroad Street from Eazor Square to 31st Street, and 48th Street from Modoc Way to Butler Street, along with surrounding neighborhood ways and municipal service facilities.
Paving crews are scheduled to resurface several corridors, including South Aiken Avenue between Friendship Avenue and Baum Boulevard, South Negley Avenue from the bridge to Centre Avenue, Drexel Road from Cliffview Road to Kleber Street, Hillcrest Street from North Graham Street to North Fairmount Street, and 48th Street from Modoc Way to Butler Street. Additional resurfacing work will take place on municipal facility parking areas and connecting local ways.
City officials noted that the annual resurfacing initiative supports comprehensive asphalt resurfacing, ADA-accessible curb ramp upgrades, and structural repairs for concrete, brick, and block stone streets across Pittsburgh. The program also coordinates with local public utility partners and utilizes mechanical patching crews to address high-priority corridor maintenance. All work schedules remain subject to weather conditions and operational adjustments.
