PITTSBURGH, PA — Pittsburgh police arrested two 19-year-old men on firearms-related charges after serving a search warrant in the 3400 block of Webster Avenue, according to a city Public Safety Blotter report published Thursday.
Fugitive Apprehension Unit detectives, assisted by SWAT, went to the residence seeking Dior Davis on a firearms-related arrest warrant. Police said occupants were directed to leave through the rear door and Davis came out and was taken into custody without incident.
During the search, police said a firearm was thrown from a third-floor window. A drone recorded the attempted disposal of evidence, and a police dog located the firearm by following its scent, according to the city report.
Davis faces charges of carrying a firearm without a license and being a person not permitted to possess one. Elijah Gist, also 19, was arrested and charged with being a person not permitted to possess a firearm and tampering with physical evidence. Both were taken to the Allegheny County Jail, the city said.
The charges are allegations; neither man has been convicted in this case.
