PITTSBURGH, PA — A juvenile was hospitalized in grave condition after falling about three stories from a roof at a construction site in Pittsburgh’s Highland Park neighborhood on Thursday, city public safety officials said.
Pittsburgh Police Zone 5 officers and Pittsburgh EMS were called to the 5800 block of Bryant Street at approximately 10:30 a.m. for a report that someone had fallen from a roof.
Preliminary information indicated that the juvenile male was doing roofing work at the construction site when he fell. Pittsburgh EMS transported him to a local hospital with a serious head injury, according to the city’s Public Safety Blotter.
Violent Crime Unit detectives responded to the scene, which officials said is typical for this type of incident. The city’s release did not provide the juvenile’s age or additional information about the circumstances of the fall.
