PITTSBURGH, PA — A motorcyclist was seriously injured Saturday afternoon in a collision with another vehicle on West Carson Street near Station Square, Pittsburgh public safety officials said.
Pittsburgh police and emergency medical crews responded at about 3:45 p.m. The adult male motorcyclist was traveling east on West Carson Street while the other driver was heading west, according to the city’s Public Safety Blotter.
Officials said the westbound driver made an illegal U-turn and the motorcycle struck the vehicle’s right rear passenger side.
Pittsburgh EMS transported the motorcyclist to a hospital with serious injuries. The other driver remained at the scene and will receive a citation, officials said.
No identities were released in the city’s initial report.
